French professional tennis player
Quentin Folliot has been handed a suspension for 20 years following him being found guilty of match-fixing.
The world number 488 had been under investigation since May 17, 2024 when he was provisionally suspended following an investigation being launched surrounding his actions. He was the sixth player to be sanctioned through an
ITIA (International Tennis Integrity Agency) investigation into match-fixing.
He was found to have fixed 11 tennis matches between 2022 and 2024. This also includes eight that he participated in. He committed 27 breaches of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program. The charges include contriving the outcome of matches, receiving money to not give best efforts for betting purposes, offering money to other players to fix matches, provision of inside information, conspiracy to corrupt, failure to co-operate with an ITIA investigation, and destruction of evidence.
A hearing on October 20 and 21 2025 was held before independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer (AHO) Amani Khalifa. 27 of the 30 charges were upheld which related to 10 of the 11 specified matches under investigation. The three charges that were dismissed came from a doubles match in 2024. These were provision of inside information, failure to report a corrupt approach, and contriving the outcome of a match.
In a written decision on December 1, 2025, AHO Khalifa would go on to describe Folliot as “a vector for a wider criminal syndicate, actively recruiting other players and attempting to embed corruption more deeply into the professional tours.”
He will serve a lengthy 20-year suspension from the sport while being fined $70,000 and being forced to pay back $44,000 in bribes.
"Folliot, who reached a career-high singles ranking of 488 in August 2022, denied 30 charges related to 11 tennis matches played between 2022 and 2024, including eight in which he participated," the
ITIA wrote. "These charges included match-fixing, receiving money in exchange for underperforming for betting purposes, offering money to other players to fix matches, providing insider information, conspiring to corrupt, failing to cooperate with an ITIA investigation, and destroying evidence."
Folliot mainly played his tennis on the ITF Circuit. He had a lot of success in doubles, winning a total of 10 titles ranging from 2017 to 2024. The last event he competed in was located in Maceio, Brazil, where he got to the semi-finals. There is a very high chance that he will never step onto the court again, as the ITIA send out a warning to any other match-fixers in the tennis world. He will not make a return until May 16, 2044.
