Hewitt receives the most fan votes at the International Tennis Hall of Fame 2021 voting

Lleyton Hewitt has been announced as the most voted player by fans for the 2021 International Tennis Hall of Fame. 
The 2021 voting for the International Tennis Hall of Fame has been underway and it was announced that former world number one Lleyton Hewitt has received the most votes from the fans. Jonas Bjorkman from Sweden received the 3rd-most votes. In the press release, there were quotes from Hewitt that read:
“Being nominated for the Hall of Fame is such a huge honour for me already, and to experience this incredible support from the fans while going through the Hall of Fame process just makes it even more special. There are four additional great candidates with me on the ballot for the Hall of Fame, and I’m really honoured and appreciative of all the support I’ve received from tennis fans in Australia and around the world.”
A commentary from Internationa Tennis Hall of Fame CEO Todd Martin was also included. It read:
"In today’s digital world, sports fans are more knowledgeable and connected to athletes than ever before. We are pleased to give them the opportunity to express their opinions in determining who will be the recipients of tennis’ ultimate honour."
We congratulate Lleyton on receiving the most votes and we look forward to seeing his name included in the Tennis Hall of Fame where it undoubtedly belongs.
