Katie Boulter puts Wimbledon disappointment behind her, marries Alex de Minaur at intimate ceremony

Katie Boulter previously wasn't sure if it would be the best month of her life anymore after losing to Tyra Grant at Wimbledon as the Brit ace who carried the flag for the WTA hopes fell in the first round. This after proclaiming it would be thus with the former British No.1 confirming she planned to wed Alex de Minaur following Wimbledon.

But perhaps it was the best day again as that wedding day did come ironically on Wimbledon men's final day so Alex de Minaur would certainly have had an interesting conversation had he made it that far.

Boulter and De Minaur have long been a premier power couple in tennis albeit their ceremony did in fact suit how they have gone about their business in this status. It was understated and was only known about due to a smattering of press reports after the fact.

Also the fact that they married at a church in a Leicestershire village close to where Boulter grew up. The wedding was only attended by a small number of family and friends with a wedding breakfast at a local pub afterwards.

Boulter and De Minaur look for further celebrations with wider tennis family

Boulter looked stunning in a long white gown and also they put convention in the bin with the duo arriving together in a Porsche Carrera driven by De Minaur, talk about pressure on your wedding day. He also looked the part in a black tuxedo.

At the same time, play was getting underway in the men's final and it could easily have been De Minaur rushing from the altar to SW19 as he only lost to Flavio Cobolli in the Last 16 mere days before.

Boulter also faced a shock loss to American Italian teenager Tyra Grant. But also good news from the ceremony was that Katie Boulter's grandfather who has been receiving hospital care was able to attend the ceremony.

He is close to Boulter and she was delighted that he was there as per Daily Mail. They were married by a female vicar at the ceremony and a party for family, friends and tennis royalty is expected later this week. They dated for six years and have outlasted a lot of other tennis couples see Tsitsidosa, Sinnerskaya among others.
