Nicolas Mahut has joined the fight against the coronavirus pandemic that is currently devastating the world.
The doubles Career Grand Slam champion has organized an online FIFA 20 tournament in which gamers compete, with the winner taking home the #RestezChezVousTrophy.
Mahut announced the competition on his
Instagram account and invited French players, including
Gael Monfils and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
However, the tournament is open to the public, with its objective being to support hospital personnel while playing your favorite video game at home.
All entry fees will be donated to hospital staff, who suffer the greatest risk of contracting COVID-19 as they are exposed to it everyday.
The
2019 ATP Finals doubles champion has created four events, with the second 128-player edition to occur on March 26. The winner of each competition receives a signed racket or outfit from Mahut, with the four winners facing off for two tickets to Roland Garros.
