Novak Djokovic continues to add more accolades to his career, WTA legend
Monica Seles has revealed she would have loved to team with the Serbian in a mixed-doubles event.
Seles, who represented the then undivided Yugoslavia during the early part of her career, won nine Grand Slam titles whereas Djokovic has 24 to his name. The World No.1 could add more as he shows no sign of slowing down, and seems determined to defend his crown at the ongoing
Australian Open.
Playing doubles with Djokovic would have been phenomenal, says Seles
In a recent interview with SportKlub, Seles gave high praise to the Serbian. Furthermore, she admitted she would have loved to play doubles with the defending champion, had they played in the same era.
"I stopped counting Novak Djokovic's Grand Slam titles a long time ago, I knew for a long time that he would break all the records and set some very difficult ones for generations to come," said Seles. "I just wish we would just play in the same era. It would be great if we played a mix together, that would be phenomenal."
"Thank you, Novak Djokovic, for the gratitude and respect and - let's go, win the Australian Open."
