"My man has gotta be dating someone on WTA Tour": Carlos Alcaraz not being able to name WTA stars in evasive interview sparks rumours

Former American tennis star, Mardy Fish suspects that Carlos Alcaraz is dating someone on the WTA Tour after a bizarre on court interview in which he couldn't name anyone he watches from the WTA Tour.

Alcaraz saw off Miomir Kecmanovic 6-4, 6-4, 6-0 in the Last 16 and was interviewed by American tennis legend, Jim Courier post match and was asked about the players he likes to watch and gave one in depth answer and one closed one, the latter was to do with WTA stars.

“Men’s, women’s, wheelchair tennis, it doesn’t matter, who are your favorite players to watch when you have spare time?” Courier asked Alcaraz on court.
"I like to watch every match if I can. But I love watching play Daniil Medvedev, Novak [Djokovic], [Jannik] Sinner as well," Alcaraz responded.
"Those guys, I like to watch, because every time they step on the court, they put their best level and, as a huge fan of tennis, I like to watch a pretty good, high level. And those are the best players in the world I like to watch.”

But his next response is what saw Fish question Alcaraz' private life. Courier gave a follow up question and asked “I’m going to put you on the spot, what about WTA?" to which Alcaraz responded with a nervous laugh saying: “Well, I watch WTA as well. No, I mean, when I can obviously. When I turn the TV on, if it is WTA, ATP, whatever, I like to watch it obviously.” Fish was left puzzled and quipped that he is dating someone on the WTA Tour. "My man has gotta be dating someone on WTA Tour…??"
