Angelique Kerber will resume her comeback by competing at the 2024
Upper Austria Ladies Linz tournament, which begins on January 29, 2024.
The German tennis star took some time off to give birth to her first child last year, and began working on her comeback during the 2023 season. The 36-year old kicked off her 2024 campaign by helping Germany win the United Cup, competing in both singles and doubles. Subsequently, she participated at the Australian Open, losing a close three-set first round encounter to former finalist Danielle Collins.
Kerber resumes journey at Linz
The Upper Austria Ladies Linz organizers announced the three-time Grand Slam champion will be competing in their event. Kerber, a former Linz champion, was granted a wildcard entry to the tournament.
"We can’t wait to welcome our 2013 champion back in Upper Austria!" wrote the official Upper Austria Ladies Linz Twitter account.
