Kei Nishikori did not play a match since the US Open and now after splitting with coach Dante Bottini, he withdrew from Erste Bank Open.

The Japanese number one did not have a successful season. He won the tournament in Brisbane at the beginning of the year and did not win a tournament since. He has a record of 29-14 and sits on the 9th place in the ATP Ranking.
Recently Nishikori has also decided to find a "new voice". On splitting with his coach Dante Bottini he wrote on his Instagram account. "After 9 years of working together literally day in and day out, I have decided it is time for a new voice."
"I am forever grateful for Dante’s contributions to my career and we will obviously remain very close friends. Between all the travel, the winning tournaments, the ups, the downs, and reaching the final rounds of Grand Slams."
"Thank you my friend. I appreciate so much the last 9 years and our friendship."
