McNally and Gauff through in doubles, Ostapenko turns match against Mertens

Thursday in Luxembourg started with almost 3 hour marathon match between Monica Puig and Kristyna Pliskova. Puig won the first set in tie-break 7-5, but Pliskova managed to level the score in the second. Another tie-break helped Puig to reach the quarterfinals in Luxembourg.

Anna Blinkova destroyed Tatjana Maria in just 49 minutes 6-0, 6-1 after eliminating Coco Gauff in the previous round. Ostapenko plays in a great form in Europe. After the final in Linz, she defeated 1st seeded Elise Mertens to advance into the quarterfinals.

The young American couple Coco Gauff and Caty McNally managed to defeat Blinkova and Kato in the quarterfinals in doubles. "McCoco" won their 10th match on WTA circuit and lost only 2. In the semifinals the will meet the first seeded pair Pliskova & Voracova.
