Naomi Osaka is getting sued over her involvement with the cryptocurrency exchange FTX which filed for bankruptcy recently.
Osaka focused more on her businesses lately than her tennis but there is trouble on that front. She has been named in a class action suit filed against cryptocurrency exchange FTX which filed for bankruptcy recently. Due to the collapse, the investors filed a lawsuit against the exchange and its dozen of celebrity ambassadors.
Some of the athletes named in the lawsuit include Tom Brady, Steph Curry, Shaquille O'Neal and Naomi Osaka. The company named Naomi Osaka as an ambassador in march of last year after she signed a 'long-term' deal with them.

The whole idea of giving out wildcards is to give new & up-coming players a chance at getting as much circuit match-practice under their belts as possible. And this is a HUGE must and opportunity for these new kids on the block. Why curtail opportunities for these newbies in favour of stalwart monopoly?? That just isn't fair. At least give these lesser known players a chance to become more familiar at playing in bigger tournaments & give them also a chance of getting the crowds behind these underdogs.
