Naomi Osaka has utilised her social media platform to show her support to the US protests which have occurred after the death of George Floyd.

Osaka though due to her presence has received some criticism for it so has shut down those who say she should stick to tweeting about sport.
"I hate when random people say athletes shouldn’t get involved with politics and just entertain. Firstly, this is a human rights issue. Secondly, what gives you more right to speak than me? By that logic if you work at IKEA you are only allowed to talk about the “GRÖNLID," said the Japanese ace on Twitter.
Not only Osaka but the likes of Coco Gauff, Serena Williams, Frances Tiafoe and various other top players have added their name to the cause with the latter recently setting up the #RacquetsDownHandsUp movement.
