WTA legend Martina Navratilova expressed her displeasure at a viral video, which featured Interior Secretary Deb Haaland discussing the importance of the Stonewall National Monument with drag queen and activist Pattie Gonia.
Haaland shared the video on Monday, which showed engaged in a discussion with Gonia, as the duo stood outside Stonewall in New York city alongside.
The 18-time Grand Slam singles champion vented her frustrations soon after the video was released, referring to the event as a "parody".
“Is this a joke?” Navratilova wrote in a post responding to the video. “The pathetic parody of women continues.”
Furthermore, the 66-year old fired back at a user who tried to argue that drag queens were not trying to pass themselves off as women.
"And how exactly are we supposed to know the difference? And please do not compare males to butch females. Thank you,” Navratilova responded.
