After the ATP Tour was suspended, also rankings were frozen but they were not for the 778 weeks before which Rafa Nadal spent among the Top 10.
After Rafael Nadal entered Top 10 of the ATP Ranking for the first time in April 2005, he didn't drop out of it till today. The Spaniard is looking to break the record held by the other legend. The current record is held by Jimmy Connors who spent 789 consecutive weeks as part of Top 10.
Rafa lifted his first trophy at the ATP tournament already in 2004. The next year, the Spaniard added another 11 trophies, including the one from the Roland Garros. And he also broke to the Top 10 for the first time and he did not drop out of it since that moment.
Currently, the rankings are frozen as the whole ATP Tour is suspended due to the Coronavirus outbreak. However, as soon as players will get back on courts, Rafa will need only 12 more weeks to break the record of Jimmy Connors. After winning 12 titles at the Roland Garros, this will be another record from Nadal that will be almost unbeatable.
