Roger Federer recently spoke about an idea of merging ATP and WTA Tours, now Andy Roddick and Lindsay Davenport shared their thoughts on this idea.

A few days ago, Roger Federer publicly spoke about merging ATP and WTA Tours. The Maestro shared a message on his Twitter account saying: “Just wondering…..am I the only one thinking that now is the time for men’s and women’s tennis to be united and come together as one? I am picturing a merger between the WTA and ATP."
Now, also Andy Roddick and Lindsay Davenport expressed their opinions about this merge. Previously, Rafael Nadal agreed with Federer and many other players joined the discussion.
"The ideology of this is undefeated," said Roddick. "For my mind this whole vision of unity is great and it sounds amazing. But if you were an ATP and WTA is there a way where your combination leverages an asset? In theory, it's amazing but you do have to see the balance."
"I agree wholeheartedly," Davenport said. "It just seems so crazy, that some tournaments we play all together and then we go separate. I spoke to Tony Godsick, Federer's agent, he said it really is Billie Jean King's dream, Roger just opened the jar publicly. This might be a perfect time to merge the Tours and just sell it as one."
