Taylor Fritz' girlfriend left scammed in Shanghai, pays $120 USD for tea on the street

America’s tennis star Taylor Fritz's girlfriend Morgan Riddle claimed that she had to buy tea worth $120 in China.

The 26-year-old is currently spending time in the Asian country where her boyfriend is taking part in the Shanghai Masters.

Riddle posted a story on her official Instagram account where she claimed that she, along with Sebastian Korda's girlfriend Ivana Nedved, was scammed as they ended up paying more than $100 USD to buy tea.

Fritz will open his campaign in the mega event against Japan’s Yosuke Watanuki in the round of 64 on Saturday.

The 25-year-old will be hoping to build on his performance in the recently concluded US Open where he was knocked out from the quarterfinal after losing to the current world number one Novak Djokovic with a score of 6-1, 6-4, 6-4.

Other than qualifying for the last eight in the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year, Fritz will be largely disappointed with his overall performance in the mega events in 2023.

The current world number eight played in the main draw of all three other major events but failed to qualify for the fourth round or beyond.

He was knocked out from the second round in the Australian Open and Wimbledon exited the French Open after suffering a defeat in the round of 32.
