As ever with tennis draws, a scandal has been potentially brewing with the
US Open draw not set to be streamed on Thursday evening.
Taking place at around 6pm BST, it will be a draw reveal instead lending itself to rows surrounding fixes and also waiting for it to be revealed. This occurred with Cincinnati recently with the draw taking place hours after it was due to be revealed.
For the first time, it will be held in secrecy without any TV broadcast or live stream online according to MARCA.
This means that
Novak Djokovic,
Carlos Alcaraz and
Iga Swiatek among others will have to wait to find out their fate.
It has been an interesting year for draw reveals with innovations in the form of Wimbledon finally live streaming theirs. As well as the issues surrounding the Miami Open draw with the TennisONE app coming under some scrutiny for a dodgy stream in an age with technological advances meaning these draws can be livestreamed.
The US Open is the latest which will likely receive this criticism. As ever, TennisUpToDate will have the draw as soon as it is released so stay tuned from 6pm CET to learn the paths of Djokovic, Alcaraz, Swiatek, Rybakina among others.
