A host of stars took part in the Blink Challenge at the
Indian Wells. The mega-event is coming towards the business end as the remaining
players are giving their all to get the ultimate prize.
The tournament’s page on the social media platform X — previously
known as Twitter — released a video featuring eight players including the likes of
Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz,
Daniil Medvedev, Coco Gauff,
Naomi Osaka, Iga
Switek, Aryna Sabalenka and Angelique Kerber, playing the game which was about
who would manage to avoid blinking for the longest period of time.
Switek was the first one to be knocked out as she lasted just
five seconds and she was followed by Sabalenka who lasted 14 seconds.
At the very end, it came down to Djokovic, Medvedev and
Osaka. When the three were remaining, Osaka made some interesting comments.
"This is like a hidden talent I have because of so many
shoots," Osaka said. "The problem is my eyes are watering, and I am
no longer able to see any of you.”
The Japanese tennis star ended up being knocked out and
at the very end only Djokovic and Medvedev were left. The Serb eventually came
out on top in the contest as the Russian finally gave up after one minute and
39 seconds.
