Wang to raise funds as fight against Coronavirus continues

Qiang Wang has set about fundraising to fight the Coronavirus outbreak in her home country starting in Hua Hin for the Thailand Open this week.

Wang has pledged to donate 1000RMB which is around £110 for every game won over the next few months. She has already donated 12000RMB; due to winning 6-1, 6-1 against Han Xinyun.
Former multiple Grand Slam champion Li Na also helped the cause; by donating 3 million yuan through a charitable donation in Beijing.
“Starting from the Thai Open on February 10th and ending on April 6th at the Miami Open, Wang Qiang will donate a total of 1000 Yuan for every game won during six tournaments (Hua Hin, Dubai, Doha, Fed Cup, Indian Wells and Miami) to support the Beijing Leyi Public Welfare foundation.” A statement published on Sina Sports says.
