Stan Wawrinka will play the final at the Challenger tournament in Prague as he showed another come back in the semifinal against Michael Vrbensky.
The 35-years-old Swiss is experiencing an interesting journey in the Czech capital at the Prague Challenger. Wawrinka lost set in every match in Prague but got into the final after another come back in the semifinals.
Since the 2nd round, Wawrinka lost the first set in every match he played. He defeated Otte 3-6, 7-5, 6-1. Then, he defeated Nagal 2-6, 6-0, 6-1, and now, he faced Michael Vrbensky in the semifinals.
Vrbensky was the first Czech player that Wawrinka faced on his way to the final. The 20-years-old Czech talent enjoyed his match against a 3-time Grand Slam champion and he also managed to win a set.
The Czech player was the first to break in the first set, and after Wawrinka broke him back, Vrbensky stroke again to win the first set 7-5. But since that moment, it was a whole different story once again.
The Swiss player showed his master class in the following two sets. First, he was dominant on his service in the second and added also a one break to win it 6-3. In the third set, he broke his opponent twice and won it also 6-3 to book his spot in the final. There, he will take on Aslan Karatsev who defeated
Pierre-Hugues Herbert in the semifinals.
