In a new Daily Dose of Social Media, sisters Venus and Serena Williams reappeared on social media, revisiting some childhood photos, as part of the promotional framework for the new episode of their joint podcast as co-hosts, and just a day after rumors were sparked about Serena's potential return to the courts.
On the other hand, the ATP and WTA stars continue to enjoy the off-season, with Aryna Sabalenka sharing a funny video with her work team, Jessica Pegula anticipating her next exhibition, and Alex De Minaur preparing for the UTS this weekend. Additionally, former Australian No. 1 Daria Saville shared a brief update on the state of her pregnancy after 25 weeks.

Williams Sisters revisit memories on podcast

Venus and Serena Williams revisited a series of childhood photos in a recent episode of the Stocktonst podcast, where both former World No. 1s co-host a program dedicated to discussing fashion, variety, and their own reflections and lives as sisters. The Williams sisters have accumulated 30 Grand Slam singles trophies between them, and as a pair, they won 14 major women's doubles titles – in addition to three gold medals at the Olympic Games.
While Venus continues with her career, making her last appearance at the US Open in early September and already confirming her presence at the Brisbane International at the beginning of January, Serena made news in recent days after speculation arose about her potential return to the courts in 2026. This came after she appeared registered in the ITIA anti-doping testing pool (which would make her eligible to compete in an official tournament again). However, Serena took it upon herself to deny the information on social media, clearing up rumors and disappointing many fans who were hoping for her return.

Sabalenka preps for 2026: Team pranks and "Battle of the Sexes" vs. Kyrgios

Aryna Sabalenka continues preparing for the 2026 season, after finishing as World No. 1 for the second consecutive year. The Belarusian, true to her style on social media, uploaded a joking post with her team, showing a fun fitness training session, although this time with a twist: it was Sabalenka who was directing them.
The 4-time major champion once again showed the great sense of humor and good atmosphere that surrounds her work team, something she herself has declared as a key factor in her success. While enjoying her off-season and already back in training, the Belarusian will return to the court for an exhibition match on December 28th, in the awaited "Battle of the Sexes," an exhibition in Dubai where she will face none other than 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios, who will make his return to the courts after three seasons in which he has played just a handful of tournaments due to injuries.

Pegula and Alcaraz headline star-studded exhibition in New Jersey

Jessica Pegula is already anticipating her return to the courts in a few days in the United States at the Prudential Center in New Jersey for an exhibition that will include women's, men's, and mixed doubles duels. The World No. 6 will face World No. 4 Amanda Anisimova in an all-American duel to start the day on December 7th. Then it will be the turn of World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz, who will play his first exhibition – of his tour taking place during December in the USA – facing local Frances Tiafoe.
The day will end with a mixed doubles duel, with the four players starring again to close the event. “Only a few more days until I will be in New Jersey to play in the first ever tennis event at the Prudential Center,” posted the 2024 US Open runner-up on social media. “I can’t wait to face Amanda Anisimova on Dec 7 followed by mixed doubles with Amanda, Carlos Alcaraz and Frances Tiafoe. See you Dec. 7 at the Prudential Center.”

De Minaur targets UTS London title after career-best season

Alex de Minaur is already living the preseason, preparing for his first challenge at the UTS Finals in London starting this Thursday. The Australian finished a great season in which he reached the semifinals of the ATP Finals, closing the year as World No. 7 – his best historic ranking. Despite the loss in the semifinals to Sinner – the 13th consecutive one – he finished a year loaded with tournaments and triumphs, with a 56-24 record, a title won at the DC Open, and more than 5 million dollars in prize money.
The Australian, however, did not have much rest time, as he is already preparing to face the year-end Ultimate Tennis Showdown, an exhibition event that will bring together players like Andrey Rublev, Casper Ruud, and Francisco Cerundolo in search of the trophy and important monetary prizes.

Daria Saville shares pregnancy update

Former Australian No. 1 Daria Saville shared a video on social media showing an update on the state of her pregnancy. The Russian-born tennis player has been married to Australian Luke Saville since 2021, and a few months ago they broke the news that they are expecting their first child. In Saville's social media update, the pregnancy is going in good form after 25 weeks, where the former top-20 wrote within the updates that they already have a name chosen and that she began to feel kicks from 20 weeks.
Saville did not play too many tournaments during 2025. After the first half of the year, she only contested the Grand Slams, being defeated in the debut in all of them: French Open (first round), Wimbledon (qualy first round), and US Open (qualy first round). Her last win at the WTA level dates back to her great campaign at the Merida Open in March of this year, where she beat rivals like Marta Kostyuk and Paula Badosa on her way to the semifinals, where she ended up eliminated by Emiliana Arango. The 31-year-old is currently situated as World No. 203.
