The Order of Play has been released for the eighth day of action at the US Open as the second week begins at Flushing Meadows with the final Last 16 matches set to take place.

Naomi Osaka, the defending champion and number one seed will headline action with her tie against number 13 seed Belinda Bencic who was a bye through after Anett Kontaveit retired after their third round tie.

Osaka of course had her match against Coco Gauff; which saw both emotional on the court and the Japanese ace will hope to begin the second week with a statement win against Bencic.

As will Bianca Andreescu who faces the Serve and Volley Queen this week; in Taylor Townsend who the Canadian openly said she is not used to facing. Many see a final between the 19-year old and Serena Williams so can she continue to live up to that billing.

On the Louis Armstrong court, four players remain who were not really expected to reach the second week. Donna Vekic and Julia Goerges headline the first tie. Vekic has had a somewhat unscathed route through so far going under the radar not really encountering any of the seeds.

Goerges on the other hand has had a tough test which she eased through in the form of Kiki Bertens, the seventh seed. The German will aim to continue her run as a result at Flushing Meadows.

Finally Kristie Ahn who has been one of the stories of the week as an American Wildcard finally living up to her promise similar to Townsend will face off against Elise Mertens. Victory against Jelena Ostapenko was the highlight for Ahn but can she continue into the Quarter-Finals?
