2021 National Bank Open WTA Entry List with Sabalenka, Halep and Andreescu (Last Update - 05-08-2021)

The National Bank Open presented by Rogers is a WTA1000 event that features some of the best players in the world, and is regarded as one of the premier hard-court tournaments of the summer.

Cancelled last year due to the pandemic, Canada's Bianca Andreescu shocked the world when she won the title in 2019. The 21-year old is scheduled to return and defend her title.

World No.3 Aryna Sabalenka leads the field after withdrawals for Ashleigh Barty and Naomi Osaka. As well as Iga Swiatek and Sofia Kenin. 2017 champion and recently married Elina Svitolina has also received entry to the tournament, as has 2015 champion Belinda Bencic.

Simona Halep recently joined the field, while Ashleigh Barty, Angelique Kerber and Venus Williams decided against it.

The tournament features a 64-player singles draw, and a 32-woman doubles event. It's slated for August 9-15 2021, running simultaneously with the ATP edition.
