2021 Open 6ème Sens Métropole de Lyon Entry List with Alexandrova, Ferro, Bouchard

The second edition of the Open 6ème Sens Métropole de Lyon takes place in the first week of March, gathering no players from the top-30.

Sofia Kenin won the title a year ago, and she will travel to France to defend it, experiencing the Australian Open setback and undergoing surgery a couple of days later. Ekaterina Alexandrova is the highest-ranked player in the draw, followed by Fiona Ferro, Caroline Garcia, Kristina Mladenovic and Alizé Cornet.

We'll see also Paula Badosa, Sorana Cirstea and Arantxa Rus as seeded players in France while Camila Giorgi, Aliaksandra Sasnovich or the Canadian wild-card, Eugenie Bouchard will try to cause some surprises in Lyon.

In the last year's final, Sofia Kenin defeated Anna-Lena Friedsam 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 in an hour and 49 minutes, losing serve thrice and delivering five return games to prevail and claim her fifth and the latest WTA crown.
