The 2021 St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy will host a strong field of players with many native Russians attending the event that will run from March 15th till March 20th.
The top seed at the 2021 St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy will be native Ekaterina Alexandrova closely followed by another Russian Veronika Kudermetova who is the 2nd seed. This event will be attended by many more great players that all enjoy playing indoors such as Mladenovic and Ferro as well as more Russian players such as Kuznetsova, Pavlyuchenkova, and Kasatkina bringing the total Russian seeded players to 5.
The defending Champion Kiki Bertens will not attend this event so that means we will see a new champion crowd and many will hope to see a native champion. The last time that happened was in 2005 when Bychkova won the event. Former Champion Mladenovic will look to repeat her success from 2017 when she won it but stiff competition from the Russians will make it hard.
