2021 VTB Kremlin Cup WTA Draw including Sabalenka, Sakkari and Halep

The 2021 WTA Kremlin Cup returns after one year of absence with its 25th edition headlined by Sabalenka, Sakkari and Halep.

The 25th edition of the event will run from October 18th till October 24th and it will feature a very strong field headlined by world number two Aryna Sabalenka. Besides Sabalenka we will also see many other great players including Maria Sakkari and Halep. Sabalenka as the top seed returns to tennis after getting COVID so it will be interesting to see how she does. As the top seed, she has a 1st round BYE with Samsonova or Tomljanovic waiting in R2.

The 2nd seed is Garbine Muguruza and after the 1st round BYE, she might need to face the tricky Tereza Martincova who can make your life worse. The third seed is Maria Sakkari and after her BYE she might need to face Dayana Yastremska which is another interesting matchup if it does indeed play out that way.

Other seeds that will take part in the event include 8th seed Simona Halep who will face Potapova in the first round. Potapova is a heavy hitter who can make it tricky in indoor conditions and Halep will need to be careful not to crash out in the 1st round. Other interesting 1st round matchups include Anett Kontaveit and Katerina Siniakova, Ostapenko - Petkovic and Jabeur Alexandrova.

Many of these players are fighting for points needed to secure a spot at the WTA Finals which should make this event a great one. Check out the full draw below.
