As clay-court season begins, the WTA will make a stop in Turkey to host the TEB BNP Paribas Tennis Championship Istanbul from April 18-24, 2022.
The WTA 250 event is one of the smaller clay-court tournaments that precedes bigger events like Madrid and Rome. Nonetheless, it will not be lacking in star power as Indian Wells quarterfinalist Veronika Kudermetova is scheduled to compete as the top seed.
Joining the World No.23 are the big-hitting Elise Mertens, and defending champion Sorana Cirstea. Kazakhstan's Yulia Putintseva will be present, in addition to clay-court specialists Camila Osorio and Sara Sorribes Tormo.
The event features a 32-woman singles draw, as well as a 16-player doubles field. Below is the list of entrants.
