Naomi Osaka and Iga Swiatek will battle it out for the Miami Open trophy later today with the match set at 19:00 CET.
It's been a brilliant fortnight for both Naomi Osaka and Iga Swiatek as they demonstrated peak tennis which is always very good to see. The Japanese player shook off a disappointing loss in Indian Wells with a brilliant run in Miami showcasing her best tennis in a very long time. Iga Swiatek has been peaking for a few weeks now with the Polish player winning the last two events she played in.
In Miami, she is yet to drop a set and it's looking very good for the upcoming world number one which she will become on Monday. It's a very close match and it's very hard to predict what will happen in this clash of styles. Osaka has the raw power to her game that can outhit Swiatek on her good day. The Polish player has more precise shots which in theory will trouble Osaka especially if she targets her backhand.
They're both good, they can both win but either way it's going to a great match. Don't miss it and if you do, do check back here for the detailed report of what happened.
