The 2023 Bogota Open provides an excellent opportunity for lesser-known players to gain recognition, and the tournament's draw is out.
Scheduled from April 3rd to 9th, the WTA 250 event in Bogota, Colombia, marks the beginning of the clay-court season for many players. The draw boasts several players who rarely make appearances in the primary draw of a WTA event, presenting a promising chance for a breakthrough. Tatjana Maria claimed victory at the Bogota Open last year and will defend her title this year.
Despite being a second seed Maria will play a 1st round match and it's going to be against Scott from the US. Eugenie Bouchard is one of the player's fans will be most excited about watching. Bouchard has only participated in two events this year, and she has yet to enter the main draw since October of last year. She will face Ylena In-Albon from Switzerland. The first seed is Elise Mertens.
