The European Clay season begins the week after Wimbledon with the
Palermo Ladies Open set for between July 17-23 as the action heads to the stunning surroundings of Italy.
Dating back to 1988, the tournament has been held 26 times with Daria Kasatkina leading this year's field.
Currently Elina Svitolina is due to play, but that will likely be in doubt due to her still playing at Wimbledon.
In terms of
Prize Money, there is a total of $259,303 on offer with it being a WTA 250 tournament.
The winner gets $34,228 and 280 WTA ranking points, the finalist will receive $20,226 and 180 ranking points. While Semi-Finalists receive 110 points and $11,275. Also in the same week is the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest as the run towards the US Open kicks off with multiple clay court tournaments.
