2023 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix Final Preview - Iga Swiatek v Aryna Sabalenka

The 2023 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix Final will see Iga Swiatek take on Aryna Sabalenka just like last year in the final when the Polish player won 6-2 6-2.

I don't think this final will be as easy for Swiatek because for one Sabalenka is playing much better tennis this year. She didn't play a flawless event by any means but she played well enough and precise enough. The calling card for Sabalenka in this one was her attacking the second serve of her opponents which she was able to do with a lot of success.

Swiatek will be wise enough to avoid those complications but she hasn't served as sharply this year. There will certainly be chances for Sabalenka but it's not a matchup she particularly enjoys. Swiatek is 5-2 against Sabalenka all time which is not a good record but she defeated Swiatek last year towards the end of the year.

The levels they are playing at right now are pretty close to that one so there will certainly be chances here. I can see this going to three sets so it should be a really good one. Sabalenka will be very motivated so expect her to come out strong in this one. Swiatek will be the favourite to win it of course but don't expect it to be as easy as last year.
