Yeah, tennis needs video review to be available to officials. No reason not to get these calls right, and it wouldn’t be needed often enough to meaningfully slow down play.
A crucial mistake was a talking point during Stefanos Tsitsipas semi-final against Lorenzo Musetti at the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell.
Tsitsipas sealed it 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 but however at match point in the second set, he played the ball close to his body and returned a shot on the volley which meant the umpire though he struck the ball twice and he did not award him the point.
He proceeded to argue the case, but the call did not get overturned and without video review, there was nothing he could do about it.
