"A beautiful match-up for the final" - John McEnroe excited about Swiatek v Jabeur

The WTA final will be played later today and Eurosport analyst John McEnroe is excited about the matchup calling it a beautiful one.

After 10+ days of tennis action in New York, we have our final two competitors. It will be Iga Swiatek, the reigning Roland Garros champion, and Ons Jabeur the Wimbledon finalist. Swiatek will have a chance to go 3-0 in grand slam finals with Jabeur hoping to make it 1-1 after dropping Wimbledon against Rybakina.

For McEnroe it's just a a beautiful matchup that he can't wait to see:

“Ons Jabeur is like Casper Ruud, she's got another chance to play in a Grand Slam final. I love the way she plays. She has got great personality. What she has represented for Africa, coming from Tunisia, it's unbelievable.

John continued turning his attention to Swiatek:

“Iga, you love her too. She just had this unbelievable streak, sort of lost her way for a bit. Maybe the pressure got to her, so she has battled hard. This is a beautiful match-up for the final.”
