"A lot of love": Emma Raducanu joyfully reacts to being among most searched female players in 2023

Britain’s tennis star Emma Raducanu reacted joyfully after
news emerged that she was amongst the top three female athletes searched online
last year.
The 20-year-old is currently spending time on the sidelines
as she continues to recover from an injury concern.
The news was indeed surprising considering that Raducanu
remained inactive for most of the year.
The Toronto-born reacted joyfully on her Instagram story
with a caption ‘a lot of love’ after it was revealed that she was the
third-most female athlete searched online last year after the former world
number one Iga Swiatek and the reigning US Open champion Coco Gauff.
During her time off the court, Raducanu went through multiple
surgeries on her wrist and ankle in order to regain full fitness.
It was because of this reason the former world number 10
ended up missing three out of the four Grand Slams in 2023.
Her only appearance in a major tournament this year came at
the Australian Open where she was knocked out after losing the second-round tie
to Gauff in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 7-6.
Raducanu broke onto the scene in 2021 when she won her
maiden and till now only Grand Slam title after beating Canada’s Leylah
Fernandez in the final with a score of 6-4, 6-3.

- I’m not quite sure what’s happening with Sabalenka but she is horrible on court when she’s losing (which is a lot lately). If you cannot control your self at all once you start losing matches - especially at 28 - you need to see a therapist or take a break from the sport. Terrible attitude.
