Iga Swiatek enlisted the help of idol Agnieszka Radwanska for the Ukraine charity match she stagged a few days ago and the veteran proved she still has it.
Radwanska is a fan favourite who said goodbye to tennis four years ago at the age of 29 but the former world number two is not too far away from tennis. She still plays the sport recreationally as old habits die hard and she proved that in a recent charity match against Swiatek.
The younger Polish star obviously did not try her hardest but it was a good thing to see for Iga who grew up idolizing Radwanska. The match was staged in Radwanska's home city of Krakow and it drew a large crowd that gathered over 400.000 euros for the victims of the War in Ukraine.
They played one match against each other with Elina Svitolina serving as the match umpire and Swiatek lost the set 4-6. She got her revenge in the doubles as Martyn Pawelski and her beat Radwanska and Stakhovskiy 6-4 10-12 1-0.
