WTA Rankings Update: No major changes in top 10 as Swiatek leads another week

Iga Swiatek is still on top of WTA tennis as there is only one change in the top 10 of the new rankings with Muguruza jumping over Collins.

It's been a quiet week in WTA tennis despite some events being played. Most of the top players are not playing at the moment as they are either resting up or waiting for the start of the hard court swing. At the top of the rankings, it's still Iga Swiatek thanks to her tremendous season so far. She's been nothing short of amazing.

The only change in the top 10 is towards the end of it as Garbine Muguruza moved up to number 8 jumping over Danielle Collins who is now down to 9. Irina Begu had a pretty decent week and she got rewarded with a 13-spot jump getting to number 33. The biggest mover of the week is Bernarda Pera who added the 2nd trophy to her tally this year by beating Kontaveit in the Hamburg final.

That gave her a 27-spot jump to number 54, which is a new career high. Lucia Bronzetti is another player who jumped up. She is ranked 65th after the jump. Players who got a new career high include Bernarda Pera at 54, Anastasia Potapova at 59, Lucia Bronzetti at 65, Diane Parry at 76, Magdalena Frech at 82, Harriet Dart at 84 and Xiyu Wang at 92.
