Amanda Anisimova posted a very curious message on Twitter calling on fans to direct message her in order to buy a PS5 she received from a sponsor.
The message got many people confused because tennis players usually tend to give away stuff but Anisimova was trying to sell a PS5 she received from a sponsor at retail price. Despite the odd message many fans sent direct messages to the American player in hopes of buying the PS5 but it turns out that Anisimova did not write that message.
It did come from her official Twitter profile but on an Instagram story posted shortly after that, Anisimova explained that her profile was hacked. The message written contained:
"Hey Twitter family I was able to receive an extra PS5 from a sponsor and I wanted to sell it to one of you guys for retail price! I can ship anywhere in the USA (DMS OPENED)"
The Instagram story said:
"Guys my profile was hacked. Don't buy that PS5 plz"
Strange times indeed.
