Anastasia Potapova takes down Petra Martic to win WTA Linz

Anastasia Potapova concluded a really magical week in Linz to lift the trophy after beating Petra Martic in straight sets 6-3 6-1 with this being her 2nd trophy overall.

Anastasia Potapova is a very streaky player as she goes on these incredible runs where she seems unbeatable. It was like that both times she won a trophy in her career including this one. She was quite literally unplayable all week long because her ball-striking ability was on full display since the start.

Martic is a very experienced player who navigated her way past players like Maria Sakkari but she was unable to do anything here. Initially, Potapova missed a lot which gave Martic the lead but rather quickly the Russian was able to find her rhythm and it was game over. Martic kind of hung around in the first set but the second set was just dominance from Potapova who finished off the job 6-1.

She's now a winner of two WTA trophies.
