Andreescu calls Kalinskaya 'the sweetest' after her, Sabalenka, Djokovic and Raducanu among others called icons among following list

Bianca Andreescu praised Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya on social media.

Andreescu has been one of the top players on the tour for years, despite dealing with injuries in recent years and currently holding the world No. 27 ranking. She knows what it's like to win a Grand Slam trophy at the age of 19, having won the 2019 US Open.

Kalinskaya has attracted the attention of some fans after a great performance at the Charleston Open, where she defeated 11th seed Anhelina Kalinina in the first round and former world No. 1 and sixth seed Victoria Azarenka. Unfortunately, the Russian had to retire in her quarterfinal match against Ons Jabeur when she was losing 0-6, 1-4 due to injury.

A fan on Twitter showed Kalinskaya's list of followers on Instagram, which included several important names such as Novak Djokovic, Emma Raducanu, Elena Rybakina, Aryna Sabalenka, and Bianca Andreescu herself. "Honestly Kalinskaya is followed by all icons," the fan wrote on Twitter.

Andreescu shared the fan's post and commented on the 24-year-old tennis player: "She's the sweetest <3," the Canadian tweeted.
