Bianca Andreescu has continued her incredible rise since the turn of the year by moving through to her maiden Grand Slam final on her debut at the US Open.

Bianca Andreescu had her toughest fight yet as she edged past Belinda Bencic 7-6, 7-5 to move through but she will now play Serena Williams on Saturday in a repeat of their match which never happened at the Rogers Cup.
The 19-year old Canadian won that tie claiming her biggest win to date but she will now have to take on a nearly full power Serena but given the form she is in; it will be a brilliant battle.
Andreescu never held a break point in the first and had to win it in a tiebreak. In this tiebreak she had to save six break points against her including one for the set and it was similar in the second.
She had to fight from a double-break down to claim the last five games and victory. As a result of this win also next up after is a rise up the rankings into the top 10 for the first time and potentially a first Grand Slam title for one of the popular picks for the title this week at Flushing Meadows.
