Andreescu relates to Pegula post defet tweet: “I feel this on the deepest level possible”

Bianca Andreescu agreed with Jessica Pegula's comment on Twitter following her loss at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships

Jessica Pegula reached the semifinals of the Dubai WTA 1000 this week and lost to the eventual champion, Barbora Krejcikova. Despite having a good week, the world No. 3 had a bitter end, as she lost on her birthday. From the airport, the American used Twitter to take the situation with humor:

Everyone: “What is it like playing on tour? It must be so amazing!” Me: gets bagled on your birthday, sitting eating Doritos at midnight, waiting to get on a 16 hr flight home," wrote Pegula on Twitter.

Former US Open champion Bianca Andreescu reacted to the photo and expressed her agreement with Pegula's comments. The Canadian player experienced a similar situation on her last birthday, as she lost in the round of 16 at the Grass Court Championship Berlin against Karolina Pliskova one day before turning 22.

"I feel this on the deepest level possible," Andreescu said.

Both players will take this week off to rest and prepare for their next big challenge at Indian Wells, starting on March 6th.
