2019 Rogers Cup champion, Bianca Andreescu shared her thoughts on the postponement of the 2020 edition in Montreal.
Andreescu had a great journey last year in Toronto. She walked towards the trophy at the Rogers Cup what later led her to win the 2020 US Open. Now, the 2020 edition in Montreal was postponed until 2021 and the Canadian expressed her disappointment. Bianca shared a video on her Instagram story saying:
"I would have loved to see you all at the Rogers Cup this year. The news is obviously very disappointing, but due to the current environment, it's totally understandable. On a personal note, I always honor playing in my country and look forward to it every year. So, let's stay safe and do this right and make sure you keep your tickets for 2021," Andreescu said.
