Aryna Sabalenka defeated Mirra Andreeva to hoist Kites into the lead of the World Tennis League which continues on Friday, but as ever with it being in the Middle East, it is more of a spectacular than most other tournaments with 50 Cent appearing after the last match.
50 Cent performed at the Etihad Arena with most players in attendance, Elena Rybakina for instance posted videos on her story with only Iga Swiatek according to social media not sighted at the concert and Sabalenka was one of those who was there as she joked after the match.
As 50 Cent's album title says 'Get Rich or Die Tryin' and it seems Sabalenka was going to dance or die trying as she joked after the match that she is terrible at dancing but that she would just let it go.
Asked about whether she was going to stay around for the famous rapper in 45 minutes, she said: “Of course I will.. I’m really terrible at dancing but I’m just trying to ignore that part & let it go."
Albeit any late night was unlikely given that Sabalenka will be in action as of time of writing in the second World Tennis League match. It is a busy time for the World Number Two who then heads to Riyadh to face Ons Jabeur in an exhibition and then will play Brisbane headlining the line-up with a certain Elena Rybakina.
