World number two Belarus’
Aryna Sabalenka reacted hilariously
to a video of best friend Spain’s
Paula Badosa touching her leg in the World Tennis
League.
The two are famous for their friendship and in a video posted
on social media platform X — previously known as Twitter — the two can be seen
spending some good time on the court during the World Tennis League.
That video was reposted by Sabalenka with a hilarious comment:
“Love story @paulabadosa”. In response to that, Badosa could only laugh as she
posted: “Hahahahahahhahahaha this is too good.”
Earlier in October, Sabalenka called Badosa her ‘soulmate’
on the court while explaining what friendship with the 26-year-old means for
her.
"It is very difficult. It doesn't happen very often
that you can find your soulmate on the circuit because we compete against each
other,” she said back then. “But we had this deal: on the court we are
opponents, we can shout whatever we want, but off the court we are friends
again.
“We can take a day, depending on who wins, to accept the
fact that one of us lost, but then we become friends again. It's hard, and I'm
super happy to have her. She is a very nice girl and having her by my side is
very important to me.”
The two are playing together in the doubles category in the
competition and defeated the pair Mirra Andreeva and Sofia Kenin but lost the
next two matches, first against the pair of Elena Rybakina and Sorana Cirstea
and then later against the team of Iga Swiatek and Caroline Garcia.
