Belarusian
tennis star
Aryna Sabalenka was seen walking hand-in-hand with her new
boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, at the F1 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Sabalenka,
who recently suffered a loss in the final of the
Rome Open against
Iga Swiatek
(2-6, 3-6), appeared to have moved on from her defeat. This marked her second
consecutive loss in a WTA 1000 final to Swiatek, following a defeat at the
Madrid Open two weeks earlier.
Despite the
setback, the world No. 2 shared cheerful photos from the Grand Prix the day
after her Rome loss. She attended the event with Frangulis, a race car driver
and the founder of Oakberry Acai Bowls.
Frangulis
was present in Sabalenka’s box during the final against Swiatek and was
mentioned by Sabalenka in her speech during the award ceremony: "And just
like I promised, Georgios, thank you for your support," she said.
At the
Grand Prix, Frangulis introduced Sabalenka to the MoneyGram Haas F1 team, which
is sponsored by his company Oakberry. Sabalenka, who is also a partner in the
fast-food brand, met drivers Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg before the
race and shared several photos with them on social media.
During her
day at the Grand Prix, Sabalenka toured the track holding hands with Frangulis
and posed for a photo with Hollywood actor and tennis enthusiast Hugh Grant.
Here are some photos from Sabalenka’s day at the Grand Prix.
