Ashleigh Barty finally put forward a complete performance which allowed her to win her match against Siniakova in straight sets. Barty has looked solid so far at Wimbledon yet she complicated matters too often for herself. Today that was not the case and she was able to close it out in two.
Barty started off good forcing three break points in the 2nd game but SIniakova was able to save all of them. It was only a sign of what's to come with Barty finally getting the breakthrough at 3-2 to get the 5-2 lead. From there she served out the set 6-3. The Australian served well allowing only two breaks points and hitting 11 winners proved enough.
Her good play continued early in the 2nd set as she broke SIniaova in the first game of the match. She then added another break to take a 3-0 lead but SIniakova pulled it back immediately. Bart would hold her serve until 5-4 when she served for the match but out of nowhere, Siniakova came out with force.
The Czech player carved out several break points and finally converted one to make it 5-5. In the very next game, she could not hold off Barty who broke her once more to take a 6-5 lead. This time around she made sure there won't be any mistakes and closed it out 7-5.
