Victoria Azarenka prevailed in a thrilling three setter 7-5, 3-6 6-4 against Peyton Stearns at the 2024 Miami Open to reach the third round where she will play Qinwen Zheng. But there was an awkward element to their tie which perhaps gave the former World No.1 some added motivation.
Her ex-boyfriend Redfoo, real name Stefan Kandal Gordy who is one half of the duo LMFAO most famous for their song, Party Rock Anthem and Sexy and I Know It was spotted in the box of Stearns as he has been as of late stemming back to Indian Wells.
Supposedly, Stearns liked Redfoo's energy at Indian Wells so invited him to Miami, but after winning the first match, the awkward match-up was set. But the rapper and singer still attended the clash. Azarenka and Redfoo dated from 2012-2014. He attended the 2012 US Open, 2013 Australian Open, 2013 Wimbledon and 2014 Australian Open in the box of Vika before they split.
He is a known tennis fan and even tried entering qualifying for the US Open back when he was with Azarenka, but was knocked out in a USTA Northern California qualifying tournament. He has remained around tennis steadily due to being a big fan. But this time around, it seemed that Stearns didn't benefit from his energy as she fell in three sets against the former World No.1.
