Azarenka storms into the Rome Masters 2nd round over Golubic

Viktorija Golubic gave many players a really tough time last year on clay however this year it's going so well as Azarenka completely smashed her in round 1 6-3 6-0.

Azarenka had a decent showing in Madrid but she was overwhelmed by Anisimova pretty easily early on in the event. It's been a disappointing year for Azarenka who simply can't keep up with some of the better players at times. Very rarely does she produce a superb effort and consistency has not been great either. None of that bothered her today as she completely outplayed her opponent from the start.

The opening set was won by Azarenka 6-3. Neither of them played that well on serve and both had a lot of success on return. Azarenka lost her serve twice in the first set but broke her opponent three times and that was more than enough. She settled into a nice rhythm in the 2nd set completely outplaying her opponent. Once again she broke Golubic three times but this time around she did not lose her serve at all finishing it off with 6-0.
