Paula Badosa hasn't had the best tennis season but the Spaniard received some off-court accolades noting her influence.
The Spanish player had a major breakout season last year finishing in the top 10 by the end of the season. She won't finish in the top 10 this year but she's had a solid overall year where she assumed more responsibility with her platform addressing her battle with anxiety and speaking on the importance of mental health.
Those are just some of the reasons why Badosa was named as part of Spain's 100 most influential women in Forbes. This was the first time a list like this was created in Forbes with the accompanying press release stating:
"In this first edition, the list includes profiles from different sectors, with the aim that this meticulous selection serves as a general photograph of the business, cultural, artistic or sports panorama, among other professional branches, linked to Spain, be as faithful as possible to all the influential women in the country."
