Barty, Pliskova, Bencic headline Day 3 Schedule of Play for Qatar Open

Ashleigh Barty, Karolina Pliskova and Belinda Bencic will be the star names of the second day at the 2020 Qatar Open in Doha.

World number 1, Ashleigh Barty and no. 3 Karolina Pliskova will appear on the center court. The 4th seeded Bencic will be playing on Court 1 where Aryna Sabalenka and Anett Kontaveit will open the day.

The matches on the center court will be kicked-off with a clash between Carla Suarez Navarro and Petra Kvitova. On Court 1, Svetlana Kuznetsova will meet Iga Swiatek. And another Czech and Russian will be playing on courts 2 and 3. Barbora Strycova will meet Jelena Ostapenko and Vera Zvonareva will take on Saisai Zheng.

Then it will be an hour of seeded players. Ashleigh Barty will lead the field on the center court against the qualifier Laura Siegemund. At the same time, no. 4 Belinda Bencic will take on Veronika Kudermetova on Court 1. And 2020 Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin will face Dayana Yastremska on Court 2. Also, the 16th seeded Elise Mertens will be in play, meeting Yulia Putintseva on the third court.

Karolina Pliskova will meet another qualifier, Bernarda Pera and Garbine Muguruza will clash with Ajla Tomljanovic. The wonder kid of the season, Elena Rybakina who managed to win 20 out of 24 matches played, will meet Alisson Van Uytvanck in the second round in Doha.
