Belinda Bencic sends Switzerland into the Billie Jean King Cup Finals against Australia

After playing and losing in the Billie Jean King Cup Finals final last year Bencic returned with vengeance and she pushed Switzerland into another final.

In the first semi-final earlier today, Australia defeated the home nation, Great Britain. It was a close one with the Australian completing a huge win thanks to Storm Sanders who defeated Watson in the first match to get the first point.

Dart smashed Tomljanovic to secure the doubles with Sanders and Stosur proving better than the British team in three sets. Their opponents in the final would be the winner between the Czech Republic and Switzerland and it was the Swiss team that got it done in two matches.

First, we had Golubic taking down Muchova fairly convincingly and then Bencic was able to outsmart Pliskova despite the Czech player having a huge lead and serving to win the second set. All in a good final and a chance for Switzerland to get it done after losing to Russia last year.
